Our First Year

Building Something New Together

This December, we're launching the first-ever Old Schoolhouse Family Gift Shop. We're inviting our community to help create something special—a place where every family can experience the profound joy of giving, not just receiving, this Christmas season.

The Heart Behind the Gift Shop

The Old Schoolhouse Family Gift Shop starts this year with a simple but powerful idea: every family deserves to experience the joy of giving. We're asking you to help us build this together.

Christmas is often about receiving—but the real magic happens when we give. When a child can pick out a gift for their parent, when a parent can surprise their children, when siblings can show love to each other through thoughtful presents—that's when Christmas comes alive.

Too many families in our community face the heartbreak of not being able to give gifts to their loved ones during the holidays. Together, we can change that story. If visiting would be a blessing for your family, we invite you to come. And if you have unused blessings to share, now is the perfect time.

Our first year is about building something together—a place where every family, regardless of their circumstances, can give, not just receive.

Community

Neighbors helping neighbors, creating a stronger, more connected Latah.

❤️

Giving freely and joyfully, knowing that generosity multiplies when shared.

🌟

Joy

Celebrating the pure delight of giving and the connections it creates.

From Dream to Reality

The Old Schoolhouse Family Gift Shop began as a dream—a vision of what Christmas could be when a community comes together with open hearts.

We imagined a place where children could feel the pride of picking out just the right gift for their mom or dad. Where parents could see their kids' faces light up on Christmas morning. Where families who might be struggling could still experience the dignity and joy of giving.

Now, this December, we're launching that dream for the first time. With your support as donors, volunteers, and community members, we can make it real. The Old Schoolhouse—a building that has served our community for generations—is about to become a place where new memories are made and hearts are filled.

About the Old Schoolhouse

Located at 515 N Main St in Latah, Washington, the Old Schoolhouse has been a cornerstone of our community for generations.

This historic building has seen countless children learn and grow, families gather, and community events bring people together. Now, it's hosting a new kind of learning—the lesson that giving is just as important as receiving.

Through Old School Legacy, we're honoring the building's past while creating something new for future generations. This first year of the Family Gift Shop is the beginning—and we need your help to make it a success. Together, we can build something that defines what it means to be part of a more connected Latah community.

This Is Just the Beginning

This first year is about proving what's possible when a community comes together. If it's successful, we envision the Old Schoolhouse continuing to serve as a hub for connection, generosity, and joy—not just at Christmas, but throughout the year. But first, we need to make this December 20th amazing.

Together, we're building something beautiful from scratch.

Thank you for helping us launch the Old School Legacy.
